Heather Kanny Elected to Trial Lawyers’ Inn of Court


Heather Kanny recently was elected as a Barrister-level member of the William "Mac" Taylor, Jr. American Inn of Court in Dallas. She was nominated based on her experience as a courtroom litigator.

The Inn's goal is to promote professionalism and collegiality among trial lawyers. Named in memory of a federal judge in North Texas, the Inn supports the development of solutions to trial lawyers' challenges. It also fosters mentoring and the development of professional relationships. The Inn is a chapter of The American Inns of Court, which has more than 30,000 judges, lawyers, law professors, and law students as members nationwide.

Heather represents physicians, hospitals, nurses and other health care providers at Beard Kultgen. She has defended health care providers against medical malpractice claims and in other disputes in 10 Texas counties. Heather has courtroom experience at both the trial and appellate levels, and she has represented physicians before the Texas Medical Board. She also has advised clients about the credentialing and peer review of physicians.
