Heather Kanny Named to the 2017 Texas Rising Stars List by Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters Service

Heather Kanny recently was named to the 2017 Texas Rising Stars list by Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters service. She was recognized in the area of "personal injury-medical malpractice."

Super Lawyers is a rating service for outstanding lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Rising Stars must meet Super Lawyers' general selection criteria, and they must also either have practiced for no more than 10 years or be 40 years of age or younger. No more than 2.5% of lawyers in a state are named to the Rising Stars list. The selection process includes peer nominations, peer evaluations, and independent research. Attorneys who have been selected are featured in both Texas Monthly and Texas Rising Stars Super Lawyers Magazine.

Heather represents physicians, hospitals, nurses, and other health care providers in medical malpractice and health care matters. She has successfully defended physicians in cases in ten Texas counties. Heather has courtroom experience at both the trial and appellate levels, and she has represented physicians before the Texas Medical Board. She also has advised clients about the credentialing and peer review of physicians.
