Matt Czimskey Wins Outstanding Young Lawyer Award Presented by the Waco-McLennan County Young Lawyers Association

Matt Czimskey recently was honored with the 2016 Outstanding Young Lawyer Award by the Waco-McLennan County Young Lawyers Association.

The Outstanding Young Lawyer Award is voted on by the association’s members. It is presented to a young lawyer with qualities including, but not limited to, professional proficiency, service to the profession, and service to the community.

The members of the association selected Matt because of his service to the legal profession and the community in McLennan County. For example, he has served as an officer and board member of the association. Matt successfully organized the first-ever “Young Guns v. Old School” softball game between the association and the Waco-McLennan County Bar Association as a networking opportunity. He also served as the head of the Membership Committee for the McLennan County American Inns of Court. In terms of community service, Matt volunteered more than 100 pro bono hours during 2015. He and other Beard Kultgen attorneys helped a domestic violence victim to resolve a public housing dispute over a rent subsidy voucher. For his efforts, Matt received the 2015 Outstanding Pro Bono Advocate Award earlier this year from the association.

Beard Kultgen is dedicated to supporting the communities that it serves. Firm attorneys frequently volunteer in pro bono, charitable, civic, and educational initiatives. The Firm also is invested in the revitalization of downtown Waco with its newly renovated downtown office. In these and other ways, Beard Kultgen — which has assisted clients throughout Texas for more than 50 years – strives to better serve the community.
