David Dickson is a founding member of Beard Kultgen Brophy Bostwick & Dickson, PLLC and has been representing business and individual clients for 49 years primarily in real estate, bankruptcy, commercial litigation, estate planning and probate matters. Mr. Dickson regularly represents parties in transactions involving the purchase and sale of business entities, complex business transactions, negotiates bankruptcy and business-related settlements and represents several banking institutions.
Since 1983, Mr. Dickson has been certified in Commercial, Residential and Farm & Ranch Real Estate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, one of only 37 attorneys in the State of Texas to hold all three of these certifications. He also serves as general counsel for the Heart of Texas Homebuilders’ Association and the Heart of Texas Apartment Owners Association. Mr. Dickson taught for 20 years as an adjunct professor at Baylor Law School in the real estate area. Mr. Dickson is past Chair of the Real Estate, Probate and Trust law Section of the State Bar of Texas. Mr. Dickson is a fellow in the American College of Real Estate lawyers (ACREL). In 2024 he received the Distinguished Real Estate Attorney Lifetime Achievement Award from the Real Estate, Probate, & Trust Law Section of the State Bar of Texas.
For all his career, Mr. Dickson has worked on behalf of the legal profession serving as a director of the State Bar of Texas, Chairman of the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and two terms as chairman of the Professionalism Committee of the State Bar of Texas.
In addition to serving his clients and profession, Mr. Dickson is past Chairman of the Waco Foundation, a community foundation with assets in excess of one hundred million dollars and has served on the board of directors of the McLennan County Appraisal District and Tax Increment Financing District.
