Overview

Mark is a civil litigation attorney with a broad practice encompassing commercial and fiduciary litigation , wrongful death and catastrophic injury cases, probate and trust disputes, and construction matters. With a decade of experience, he represents individuals and businesses in high-stakes disputes from pre-suit through trial and resolution. Whether serving as lead counsel or local counsel, Mark is a skilled advocate that fights for his clients. 

Mark has first- and second-chaired cases resulting in favorable judgments and has extensive experience taking and defending depositions, handling expert witnesses, and briefing and arguing dispositive motions. He has also successfully negotiated favorable settlements across a wide range of complex matters. Known for his courtroom presence and strategic approach, Mark is comfortable handling every phase of litigation.

He has been selected as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers for four consecutive years, recognizing his professional achievement and peer recognition in the field of civil litigation. He is also a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation.

Mark earned his Juris Doctor from Baylor Law School, where he honed his trial skills through the school’s rigorous Practice Court program and competed in multiple moot court and mock trial competitions. He received Best Advocate honors at the Houston Regional of the American Association for Justice’s Student Trial Advocacy Competition as well as Baylor Law awards in evidence and advocacy.

Before pursuing law, Mark earned a Master of Science in Information Studies from the University of Texas at Austin and worked as a manuscript archivist at the Dolph Briscoe Center for American History. He also holds Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in History from Baylor University.

A native of Waco, Mark returned to his hometown in 2019 to serve his community both in and outside the courtroom. When he is not working, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, attending Baylor athletic events, and coaching little league. He is also the author of William Cameron Park: A Centennial History (Baylor Press 2010).
