Jake Dickson grew up in Waco and attended Baylor University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting and a Master of Accountancy. Jake then spent two years in Dallas working for the accounting firm, KPMG. While at KPMG, Jake successfully passed all four sections of the CPA exam, and he is now working to complete his CPA certification. Following his time in Dallas, Jake moved to College Station, where he attended graduate school at Texas A&M University and graduated at the top of his class with a Master of Real Estate degree.

Jake eventually returned to Waco to begin his legal career and attend Baylor Law School. While at Baylor Law, he was a technical editor of the Baylor Law Review, volunteered at the Veteran’s Legal Clinic, and received multiple awards, including the Outstanding Achievement in Business Planning and Corporate Law Award. Jake was also selected by the faculty to represent Baylor Law at interscholastic competitions, helping his team place first in negotiations at the Duke Law Transactional Competition. Jake graduated from law school magna cum laude with a special distinction in business planning. Immediately following graduation, Baylor Law School hired Jake as an adjunct professor where he currently advises on business cases in Baylor Law’s rigorous practice court program.

As an attorney at Beard Kultgen, Jake handles a wide variety of matters with focuses on real estate, business transactions and structuring, and commercial litigation. In his free time, Jake enjoys attending Baylor sporting events, golfing, and traveling with his family. Jake and his wife, Lauren, reside in Waco with their dog Griffin.
