Sam Hays is a partner and President of Beard Kultgen Brophy Bostwick & Dickson, PLLC, where he advises businesses and financial institutions on a wide range of complex transactional and governance matters. His practice includes business acquisitions, entity formation, and the drafting and negotiation of sophisticated governance, organizational and other business-related agreements, as well as providing strategic legal counsel to local and regional businesses.
Sam has served as an adjunct professor at Baylor University School of Law, where he has taught Securities Regulation and has assisted with the Law School’s Practice Court program and Business Boot Camp. He has also served as a presenter for State Bar of Texas continuing legal education programs.
A Waco native, Sam earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Baylor University and his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Baylor University School of Law. He is actively involved in the Waco community and has served, or currently serves, on the boards of the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce, Boys & Girls Clubs of Waco, Midway Little League and Camp Deer Run.
Before entering the legal profession, Sam played professional baseball for five years in the Seattle Mariners’ organization. He and his wife, Julie, reside in Waco with their three children.
